While brewery business were usually dominated by men, Mrs. Harvey has an occupation in grocery but appears to have produced a small supply of brewed beverage.

Louis Heise's Celebrated Bottled Lager Beer 1876-1881
Louis' small rowhome would not have supported his ability to be a brewer but he certainly had no issue bottling beer brewed by others and selling under this name. By 1878 he is listed with beer as an occupation and in 1879 moves to 85 Greenmount Ave. His bottles are extremely hard to acquire with only 4 of each documented. The second bottle #1075 would have been needed after he moved from the Eager St. address.

S. Helldorfer's Star Lager Beer Brewery 1874-1893
Helldorfer ran a very successful brewery in the Caton area of Baltimore at Clinton and Lancaster. His bottles are scare and highly collectable. In 1893 his sons join the company and in 1899 the brewery is sold to The Maryland Brewing Company. Bottles from both the son and The Maryland Brewery are documented in those sections.

S. Helldorfer's Sons Lager Beer Brewery 1893-1899
Helldorfor's Sons joined the brewery in 1893 and sold the brewery in 1899 to The Maryland Brewing Company. Bottles produced during The Maryland Brewing Company ownership and embossed noting "Helldorfer Branch" and are documented in that section.

Christain Heurich 1892-1909
Chrisitan Heurich's Brewery opened a bottling house at Howard and Cross and stayed in business for 17 years. Here keg's were brought up by train from DC and beer would be siphoned from the keg and bottled for local sale.
A 1901 view of of Heurich's bottling house. 80 years later this location would be known across the US as one of the best small concert hard rock venues, HammerJacks.
