Henry Fritz 1860-1867

Henry Fritz can be found in the Baltimore City Directory in 1860 operating a Lager Beer Saloon on Bel Air Ave while living at 266 Aisquith.  He more than likely operated a small brewing operation out of his house.  His wife Harriet is also listed as a Confectioner.  There are other examples in Baltimore of bakers and brewers lending their skills to both practices.  Because of the connection I would lean toward the Fritz's producing a mead with byproducts from the creation of confectionaries.

Nathan Galvansky's Saloon 1905-1920

Galvansky is found during these years as a bottler and a for a very short time as a Saloon Proprietor.  As this only example was blown by the Ohio Bottle Company we know it had to be made in 1905, the only year that both Ohio and Galvansky have a link.  This example is extremely rare with 3 known, so they were most likely used to sell to his saloon patrons to take a beer to-go.  The original Roadie!

Gardner's Hotel 1877-1893

As noted under the section for George Ehret, Gardner bottled beer at his 13 S. High Street address starting in 1892.  Before bottling for Ehret's, Gardner had his own bottles commissioned which were used at his hotel when a patron wanted a beer to-go.  It appears that many bottles were never returned as only 4 have been documented.

In 1890 Francis or Franz Gardner incorporated his home, a saloon and his hotel in one area.  Currently most of his 13 S. High residence and Hotel remain however the saloon has been razed and new construction has taken its place.

Andrew Gebhardt 1901-1903

Gebhardt was living at 1415 E. Lafyette from 1901-1903, listed as a brewer.  He was associated with Herman Wilms and the Baltimore Berliner Weiss Beer Brewing Company at at 1715 Spring St.  This short timespan leaves only a few documented examples.

Due to the close proximity of Gebhardt's home to The Baltimore Berliner Weiss Beer Brewing Company it appears that Gebhardt was just using their beer and bottling the product in the bottles commissioned in his name.
