Lion Brewery

Historical Context

The Lion Brewery was in business from 1895-1902 on Calverton Rd in West Baltimore. They only produced one embossed bottle which is a favorite collectable by Baltimore and other beers collectors due to the image of the lion. Please note there is an early listing for a Lion Brewery owned by John Trost in Canton from 1880 and while advertisements mention bottled beer, no embossed bottles from this location have been identified.
